At Bumbling Acres Farm, our mission is rooted in harmony such as nurturing rare breeds, protecting the land, and serving our community with dedication and care. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, we are more than a farm; we’re a movement toward preservation, sustainability, and ethical stewardship. Our passionate team is deeply committed to the conservation and responsible breeding of Sila Shepherds, Colorado Mountain Dogs, and San Clemente Island Goats, animals whose history and resilience inspire our work every day.
Each dawn begins with purpose, tending to our herds, caring for our bees, and maintaining a natural balance across our land. These pollinators play an essential role in our ecosystem, supporting the growth of the produce and fruit crops that we anticipate offering beginning in 2027–2028. As we expand, our community will be able to enjoy farm-fresh fruit, seasonal produce, and eventually, a variety of canned and preserved goods, expected to debut around 2029.
We take pride in practicing sustainable farming that respects the earth while promoting biodiversity. Our goal is to build a living legacy, one that nurtures the environment, preserves endangered species, and creates a positive impact that extends well beyond our pastures.
Our Mission
At Bumbling Acres Farm, our mission is to nurture the land, preserve rare livestock breeds, and provide families with honest, sustainable products. We’re committed to conservation, tradition, and harmony between people, animals, and nature. Our breeding philosophy focuses on developing intelligent, trustworthy Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs) like the Colorado Mountain Dog and Pastore Della Sila Shepherd, chosen thoughtfully for temperament and lineage. Each dog is raised with care, integrity, and purpose. By 2027–2029, our mission expands to include sustainable fruit cultivation and a line of canned goods, offering families authentic, farm-to-table products crafted with love and sustainability.
Our Vision
Our vision at Bumbling Acres Farm is to create a sustainable farmstead that preserves heritage livestock, supports conservation, and strengthens communities. We aim to inspire future generations to live in balance with nature through responsible farming and rare breed preservation. Our work with San Clemente Island Goats and dedicated LGD programs reflect our belief in ethical stewardship. Looking ahead, we envision expanding into produce cultivation and canning projects that promote self-sufficiency and food sustainability. Through every effort, our vision remains clear, to build a legacy of compassion, balance, and respect for the land, animals, and people we serve.
